I know, tiresome that we even have to think about the back to school month right now, isn’t it? But, there’s so much going on in September in Bristol to cheer us up.
Valley Fest 2016 (2-4 Sept)
Now, more about Valley Fest later this week, but, if you’ve never been, this is the year for you. It’s on the last weekend before most schools go back (2-4 Sept). It’s in the Chew Valley. It’s perfectly sized and the family will love it. We’ve been two years on the trot and I can’t wait.
The Village Green is most tempting for me this year, being as I can’t spend 48hrs guzzling craft cider and dancing. Tibbs will be all up in Run Wild I imagine. Seriously, what’s not to love here? It’s going to be awesome.
Windmill Hill City Farm is 40! (24 Sept)
I know what it’s like to be 40 and feel better than ever. Windmill Hill City Farm isn’t just feeling good though, it’s popular, beautiful and has a very special place in our City’s heart. There can’t be many children of the last two generations who haven’t played here in the last 40 years. Join the staff for an incredible celebration.
New parent and toddler group at Clifton College (14 Sept)
Clifton College is opening a new toddler playgroup to the local community on Wednesday 14th September at 09:30am.
There will be a variety of sessions across each term, making the most of the fantastic facilities. From messy play to library mornings, instrumental activities and even bug hunting. The sessions will be run by qualified and friendly staff from 9.30am -11.30am, every Wednesday, during term time. 10 families per session and you need to register in advance.
Hungry Caterpillar Downend
OK – so did you know that Bedmo favourite Hungry Caterpillar has opened a second play cafe in Downend? It’s already open, but from September will be open on Saturdays too, so, if you can only pop along at weekends, then there you go. I’m looking forward to going up there for a play in the near future, so will report back.
Mamanatal meet up (18 Sept)
The fantastic Mamanatal ladies are holding their next meet up at Cox & Baloney on September 18th.
This is such a fabulous way to meet new friends, socialise your little ones, and get some knowledge from one of their specialist speakers. Check out their Facebook page here.
