What I’m wearing this Christmas

I’ve had a little Christmas treat from the lovely people at Bonmarche this week, some new things to wear over the festive few days.

Bonmarche is very much on my radar because there is a store in my local shopping centre, the Broadwalk in Knowle. I’d not been in there before as I wasn’t sure there was anything I’d like. However, I was mega impressed with the range on offer on the website, and have since been in for a good old rummage.

If you like affordable, colourful stuff, I do suggest you have a look. I’m pretty much in most plus size ranges, but at Bonmarche, the sizing seems to be realistic rather than aspirational, which means my size is slightly smaller than at some stores. I like this! I asked for large and extra large, and I think they fit well, if not even a little roomy!

I chose this stag’s head long sleeved top to wear on Christmas Day with the family, when I know I’ll be doing lots of jumping around, crouching on the floor, and sitting around. It’s a perfect length (will certainly cover the dreaded mum jeans-cleavage you get at play cafes!) and a lovely soft fabric.

I also chose this mega sparkly black batwing sweater. It’s really light despite its size, and would actually suit someone more confident with their pins than me as a jumper dress. With my short arms, the sleeve length is perfect. I’m going to wear it on Christmas Eve for a family lunch we’re off to.

What are you wearing for Christmas?

The clothes in this post were a gift from Bonmarche, but chosen by me. Thanks to Bonmarche and Happy Christmas.

And thanks to the lovely guys at Playground Coffee on St Nicholas’ street, one of my favourite places in town, for taking the pictures for me!
