For no other reason that the fact I have been on some incredible holidays booked through them, including where I got engaged, our honeymoon, and our first holiday with a baby, I wanted to tell you all about i-escape today.
Oh, and they are based in Bristol, which is even better. And lastly, there’s a really good promotion on at the moment with 50% off 50 places on their books.
i-escape is a booking and recommendations portal which focuses on the sort of places which make you probably wouldn’t have found in half an hour of Googling. Easy to use, it totally takes the hassle out of booking and handling your reservations, no matter where in the world you’re making them.
Here are some examples of where I’ve been with them, to give you an idea of the choices:
In my time I have also booked places in Setubal, Portugal, and for those of you in Bristol or London looking for a very close-by break – The White Hart in Somerton, and The Beckford Arms in Tisbury are both incredibly good.
In short, I’m a massive i-escape fan. It’s where I go first for all my holiday inspiration.
Anyway, we’ve just booked our last holiday of the year with them through the current promotion they are running with the Sunday Times.
It offers you half-price stays at over 50 of our favourite hand-picked boutique hotels in the UK, Europe and beyond. Just choose where you want to go from the list on the link: there are palm-fringed beach hotels and family-friendly house rentals, slick city pads and off-the-beaten-track hideaways. But be quick: you’ve only got until the 7th November to book, and availability is limited!
We are going to the Polurrian Bay Hotel, Cornwall
Here’s what it says about it. I saw two words here ‘free creche’ and I was booking faster than you can say spa day.
If you want to avoid flying with a baby, head to Polurrian Bay Hotel near the pretty Cornish harbours of Mullion and Porthleven. Perched on a cliff above the sea, it has a crèche which takes babies from just 3 months old (free for 2 hours per day), meaning new parents can recover in the Elemis spa or the indoor and outdoor pools. The 41 rooms are soothing and stylish, and the complimentary baby-listening service makes for easy dining à deux in the restaurant. What’s more, with carriers, night lights, potties, Bumbo seats, changing mats, sterilisers, swim nappies and pushchairs to borrow, you won’t need to worry about packing lots of kit.
i-escape guests get a free room upgrade (subject to availability on arrival).
Lastly, a word about i-escape’s new kids collection – well, you might as well have a look, hey?
